Kiera, reporting from Prague

simonedsouza

Hi, it’s Kiera! Today I’m going to write a summary of our second and third days of Prague! So, at the beginning of our second day we went to the Prague Zoo with Alex, her mom, her very nice and prepared brother, Eman, and her nephew, Léo (the day before we saw her niece Leti). We saw lots of cats and reptiles including a leopard and then the kids ran over a radar thing multiple times to see how many mph we could run and what animal was that speed; my fastest was 18 and that animal was pig (who Luke told me afterward are really slow). Then we took a chairlift, saw the Asian elephants and then we had to miss the giraffes, (though we did catch some polar bears) because we had to head back. Leti came to lunch but she had to leave to shop for an outfit for an old-fashioned themed costume party. In the restaurant they had drawings of scenes from an old Czech movie of a very non-serious policeman. Then we went to Pétron (see pictures), a mini Eiffel Tower. Our mom loved it since the views were great because it was tall and on a hill and because it wasn’t as scary as the Eiffel Tower. Eman, Alex’s brother, showed me all the places we’d been to so far at the top and then we did a mirror maze with funny mirrors (see pictures)! We took a cool shuttle vehicle down and then got Slovak chimney cakes with ice cream inside and mine was vanilla ice cream with cinnamon covered apples, salted caramel filling and raspberry border around the chimney cake. Then we met Leti and her boyfriend at a table outside a church and (as a mass ended and people were leaving) Ryan used the front courtyard as a running track and then we walked through a park and the Charles Bridge home. The next day we got up and went shopping for souvenirs and found a great store called Local Artists where we all got stuff; I got a ring and bracelet and then we got a caricature drawing done at Charles bridge and met our dad, Alex, and Eman at a restaurant where I got quesadillas and then we got to see Eman’s cool house with a courtyard and they bombarded us with treats (soon after Alex and Eman left for Barcelona!). From there we got an Uber to the water park, Aquapalace where we took a Lazy River thing with monkey bars that I completed twice and stopped at a big room with a pirate ship water playground and some dancing. We got tickets; Ryan and Luke got bumper boats which you rotate the handles to move and I did Aqua Zorbing where you’re in a big bubble and you move around (see pictures)! Then our dad told us they’d found out where the big slides were so we went up some stairs and first did a really wide orange slide, then me and Luke used tubes for an orange slide with pictures on the side, then we used tubes for a black and white slide that I did with virtual reality, then we did something called the Wild Water River and I got dunked under multiple times and then a slide called the family slide, a slide with echoing noises and you picked one before you went (I picked African animals) and the wide orange slide again. After the slides we had lost my mom and Ryan, we did the hot tub and then did one more lap of the river thing before leaving. We had to go to separate taxis because they couldn’t fit us all and when my mom searched the address of the place our friend recommended something slightly different kept coming up so we went there and when we had already ordered food we found out our dad and Luke were in the right one; The Benedict Brewery and we were in something from the same company called Brewery of Benedict and we ended up eating at ours, though the food was still great, and after me and my mom did some shopping on the way back. The next morning we woke up really early and left Prague. See you in Mallorca!
